Every Summer I enjoy making fresh Popsicles with real fruit. I just love this Summer tradition because when I'm in need of a cool snack, I can relax with a Summer treat knowing that there are no artificial flavors or added preservatives in my Popsicle. I especially love making these wonderful Popsicles because it really allows me to to experiment with all kinds of different fruit and define the flavor variations of each and every unique taste. But what I love most of all about making homemade Popsicles is that the sky is the limit- you can make so many fruit combinations such as sweet and zesty, zesty and tangy, tangy and sweet!
I made about 3 dozen Popsicles, not including the ring pops nor the Popsicle disks. I tried a total of 6 flavor combinations.
The first was a strawberry and mango swirl! I found inspiration for this one on Pinterest, but I decided to give it my own special touch using my own different influences. I just loved the idea of my two favorite fruits coming together along with a slight creamy touch, that I just had to try these wonderful Popsicles!

For my second Popsicle batch, which I use about 6 Popsicles per flavor, I decided to do watermelon Popsicles with blended watermelons for the base and blackberries to top it all off. I'm quite excited to try these since I have never used watermelon while making my yearly Popsicles, so I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Another fruit combination I wanted to try was a creamy peach Popsicle! I simply blended about a quarter cup of coconut milk and several large peach slices! Since I'm also a huge fan of peaches, I thought why not make a pure peach Popsicle? So I went for it, and I can't wait to try it!
For my fourth Popsicle flavor, I had recently purchased some fizzling Strawberry Basil French Soda (from World Market), that I thought would go great with a couple black berries, raspberries, and strawberries! The only thing I wish I could've added might've been some fresh basil which I felt could've paired perfectly with the berries and could've brought a nice fresh flavoring to the whole Popsicle. But nevertheless! I'm still excited to try them!
As for my fifth Popsicle flavor, I basically did the same thing as my fourth flavor except with pomegranate juice. I wanted to use the same fruits, but with different juices, so I can have different outcomes and yet still enjoy the same fruits.
For my sixth and final Popsicle flavor, I used an elderberry lemonade (that I also purchased from World Market), and several sliced strawberries. I thought it would just be a delicious combination and I have yet to see how it turns out!
I'm so glad that your'e reading my blog right now and I hope that you feel inspired to make some of your own homemade Popsicles! I know that as a baker, it may be a bit unusual to post a Popsicle blog, but since it's Summer and all, I thought it would be a perfect way to let people really experiment with their creative side!
