Hello! Today I wanted to talk to you all about a fundraiser that I'm going to set up for the Friendswood Friends Food Pantry! I'm setting up a fundraiser as a project for school and so that I can help fight hunger! My goal is to raise $100.00 for the Friendswood Friends Food drive plus any extra cans of food as well. If you want to help my cause, you can go to Forest Bend Fire Department where you can drop off a can of food today. And keep in mind that EVERY CAN COUNTS! So if you're thinking that you only have one measly can of food, remember, one can of food can satisfy one very hungry stomach. Like Mother Teresa said, "If you can't feed one hundred, feed one." Not only do I want to collect cans to donate to the Friendswood Food Drive, but I will also be setting up a Spot Fund account so I can collect donations as well. Though the link for the Spot Fund is down below, you can swing by Forest Bend Fire Department to drop off some cans! I hope that you like my idea and that you can take a bite out of hunger today!
I also wanted to go a little bit in depth on why I chose to donate to the Friendswood Friends Food pantry. First of all, the place I wanted to donate to had to be a food drive! I believe that hunger is a serious problem and that there are so many different ways that we can stop it. I chose Friendswood Friends Food Pantry specifically because I liked how they're a church that are working towards something big. I also like how Friendswood Friends Food Pantry isn't some huge corporation that has everything that they could possible need. Especially with possibility of them never using what I donate to them, instead, I wanted to donate to somewhere who helped their local community. Therefore, Friendswood Friends Food Pantry was perfect!
